Starting with Archline 2020, MEP functionality is supported.
There have been many changes. Since its launch in 1996, simple BIM products have supported the roof module, which is famous for its complexity among architectural components, and the wall has a stud automatic placement function to enable the design of a wooden house, a separate interior automation function, and this time MEP Functionality was also added.
MEP?
Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) refers to these aspects of building design and construction. In commercial buildings, these elements are often designed by a specialized engineering firm. MEP design is important for planning, decision making, accurate documentation, performance- and cost-estimation, construction, and operating/maintaining the resulting facilities.[1] Source:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanical,_electrical,_and_plumbing
The design office has not yet done this in Korea, but it is a necessary feature as a communication tool for minimal concepts when working with MEP companies. The setting function for the location of the electrical devices has also been added, and the wiring of the switches and lights has also been added.
ARCHLine.XP2020 also provides a house information modeling function that is a BIM product and is not supported by other BIMs.
The number of users worldwide is increasing, and from the 2020 version, it has also begun to be introduced in the US market. So far, it has been provided only in Europe and Asia, including Korea. Now, the market is secured to North America.
